who am i?!

I don't know. Maybe I'm:

a) The punk girl I think I am when I listen to Paramore and wear my vans and headbang.

b) The hipster I think I am when I wear vintage-influence/real-vintage clothing and listen to cool music nobody has ever heard of because people all listen to over-auto-tune crap.

c) The beach girl I think I am when I swim for hours on end, listen to Jack Johnson and when my hair is all sun-kissd and wavy.

d) The dancer I think I am when I walk into hip-hop class with my ballet clothes underneath.

e) The aspiring-activist I think I am when I plan my trip to Africa with the IVHQ that I am planning to go on after high-school.

f) The sporty-girl I think I am when I wear LuLuLemon pants and Adidas and follow my Seventeen magazine 6-week exercise plan.

d) The hippie-at-heart I think I am when I listen to Phish and Strawberry Alarm Clock and brainstorm ideas about how to become a better person.

I'm not one of these. I am every single one of these and more, all combined into one. One person, one mind, one heart. There are things I don't like about myself. That can't really be prevented. Just because I don't like everything about myself doesn't mean I am not extremely proud to be who I am. I think I am what my one-and-only-best-friend Mina K. would say you-nique. Everyone is. Love yourself. Love everything even though there will be things you don't like about yourself. There are WAY more things that you like than you hate. You may not realize it but it's true. This might, no, WILL, sound cheezy but your body is a temple, so treat it like one, with respect. L<3VE YOURSELF.

intro.

hey there blogger buds,

i guess i'll start off this blog by telling you a little bit about myself. well, if you didn't guess it already, i am easily inspired. no. thats an understatement. i get inspired by the drop off a hat. OOH I SHOULD BECOME A MILLINER (hat maker)!! jk. but honestly, most movies and books inspire me in someway. i guess you could call me an 'activist', not in the sense of helping the world (but i am working on that kind fiy) but in the sense that when i AM inspired i don't sit there and be all "woah i wish i could do that"... no. i'm all like "OMP (oh my pelle [almqvist] look him up :P) i am GOING to do that!".. no joke. i love travelling. if you are an observant little child and noticed that my background is indeed london, then HIP HIP HOORAY for you.. woopty doo. not only is it london but it is my future country/city of residence. maybe not london, but england. i am going to oxford university. i'm in grade eight. i already know where i want to go after high school. in 4/5 years. yeah. i have no life. but i love having no life. seriously. :D. i love music and fashion and photography. i like so many genres of music (i.e. rock/punk/altenative, pop (top 40), oldies, african tribal music :P, jack johnson cuz he's so amazing he gets a genre of his own..). when it comes to fashion, well i don't even know. i don't have a "style". my best friend calls it "exploring". meaning you don't stick to one category of clothing. you wear whatever is cute and you feel great in. somedays i'm sporty, some i'm punky, some i'm vintage, some i'm surfy, some i'm chill. photography. i love the feeling you get when you take a really cool picture. people look at some of my pictures and they're like "woah how'd you take this?" and i'm all "i put the camera on the table and clicked..big deal".. it really is that easy. anyways. more about me. <---selfish right? jk. well.. i am self conscious but soon that will change because my best friend mina kwoczynska-dratwa and i are on the "Seventeen Magazine 6-Week Summer Makeover" workout plan.. YAY FOR US. so... i am going to list some of the things that inspire me and why..

1. Jack Johnson.
-I will have you know that for a while I was almost depressed. For about 2 years I forgot how much I love his music and once I started listening to it again, I was super happy!

2. Bethany Hamilton.
-Her arm was bitten off. She is now a pro surfer. I've always wanted to surf. She made me want to surf more.

3. Alexandria of Africa by Eric Walters.
-This book helped me make my desicion as to what I am doing after university. I am going to travel to Kenya with the IVHQ and volunteer for a few months.

4. The beach.
          -I love the beach.

Thanks for reading this!
Bye!
